Not So New Year Resolutions, Inner Bloggers, and a Limerick

I made a promise to myself that I would write more in 2012. Then I created this blog, hoping that it would be enough to stir the inner blogger in me. (Is "inner blogger" a thing?... Well, I just made it a thing. So there.) I imagined a future filled with a flurry of fantastic blog posts. People would read my blog and tell their friends. I would be famous!!! As it is, real life hit me hard (In the head. With a crowbar. It hurt). My resolution withered away after- hold on let me go count- all of one, count it, one post. Go me!

So now I pledge to all of you reading... oh wait, I forgot, no one is reading. Okay, I pledge to myself and to my  roommate (who is currently sleeping and completely unaware that an event of epic proportions is taking place right now) that I won't become another New Year's resolution statistic. I will write a post for this blog at least once a week. I will stop kicking people through walls. (I was kidding about that last part. No one can stop me from kicking people through walls! It's a cherished pastime.)

And now I leave you with a limerick:

There once was a boy named Stu.
He didn't know what to do.
A girl called him dumb.
He stuck out his tongue.
And now the girl whimpers, "Boo hoo!"

Masterpiece! (Before you say anything, it's a near rhyme. So shut up about it!)

(Also, I love parentheses!)
